Lady in a Boat - Purple setcressea

It never ceases to amaze me what common names are shared by, at times, many plants. When down south this plant was introduced to me by the above name by not a few different people.
When looking up the name in a search it didn't come up at all but was in the same group of plants, groundcovers.

  1. We call it Purple Heart. Out in the sun, it turns really purple. Great with chartreuse and yellow.

  2. I've also heard it called Moses in a Boat. After the summer we had this year, Purple Heart is now one of my favorite plants! Talk about tough! I have a green variety, too, that I grow in shade. Great plant!
